Our panel remembers Peter Adams, then analyzes the municipal election campaign from 3 standpoints: campaign team strategies, the mayoral race, and the ward races.  Key insights: This campaign is unlike anything the city has seen in the recent past.  The mayor’s race offers a stark decision and the outcome is too close to call.  Otonabee Ward offers the tightest race of all.  A safe prediction: The next council will inevitably be placed in a very unenviable position as the purveyor of bad news due to severe budget cuts mandated by Queen’s Park and Ottawa.
